Most fearful fear: Fear of the Unknown..

Was watching the "inception" for the nth time, what a beautiful it is, it always piqued my interest no matter how many times i watch. The main point which attracted me in the movie is that to come out of a dream and to get back to reality and live a real life we need to jump and die.

Whats all the fuss with death? Is it because there's so much pain involved? In that case are we ok with a  "painless" death? (or) is it because of the fear of losing all that we own things,  people, memories etc..?

But i think its mainly because we don't know what happens to us after death? That fear of what lies ahead dark and unknown inculcates the fear in our minds so deadly that normally we do not venture to challenge that.

Similarly in a case where we hear about new things of which we don't possess any knowledge and we don't understand spread fears in people's minds. That same "fear" stops us from doing new things, taking new decisions, trying out a new unknown paths. But we fail to see what lies at the end of unknown path? Again back to the movie metaphor, if we take the risk we can have access to the reality of the world, we can gain access to the knowledge of the unknown transforming it to the known.

There goes the famous batman's dialogue " men always fear what they don't understand" of course this applies to women as well :-). Everyone fears but how fast the fear transforms to curiosity and spirit of adventure decides what a person he/she is?

So either be it death (or) or the deadly fear that's stopping you from doing things never done, don't succumb to it, overcome the fear in your own way and see what lies ahead? Take that jump you have been feared of and see what lies beneath? Lets sail those seas and look beyond, may be we can find one more america? May be there's a fortune waiting for you literally/metaphorically :-)

Beyond the great ocean lies the ultimate treasure, joy of overcoming the fear of unknown
